and proved a big success. This is where you will find the quickest cars
in the Alfa Romeo Championship and the regulations allow plenty of
freedom for modifications of both mechanical components and bodywork.
Competitors use many different approaches to the same objective - going
as quickly as possible - and there will be rear wheel drive 1.8 75
Turbos alongside normally aspirated larger capacity V6 engine cars while
those who favour the smaller capacity, lightweight, route will be
putting their faith in cars powered by the 16v Boxer engine, such as
2006 Overall Champion, Tim Lewis, with his Alfasud Sprint. There may
also be some surprises from 2 litre 16v engined 156s. Class A cars run
on slick tyres.

The UK's premier Saloon Car Clubmans Championship with cars from 600bhp
4 wheel drive monsters through ex BTCC, Thundersaloons and DTM cars to
classic saloons in all shapes and sizes. Never before has a mix of cars
such as this fought so hard and cleanly for the title.
From the youngster starting out in his own garage to the seasoned
competitor with a pro-built car, camaraderie in the paddock is second to
none. Competitors in the same class help out their rivals with problems,
lending hands, tools and parts to try and get every car out on the grid.
With battles throughout the field for the class wins it doesn't matter
where you look on the track, there are cars dicing for position and

The HOT HATCH CHAMPIONSHIP is for Competitors participating in
'Hatchbacks', saloons and coupés including ‘Grey’ and personal imports
either right or left hand drive subject to approval by the 750 Motor
Club Limited; homologation specials will not be permitted.
Cars will run in four classes based upon the original engine capacity
prior to any rebore permitted within 5.7.1.
A: Modified Front Wheel Drive cars 1601 – 2000ccs.
B: Modified Front Wheel Drive cars up to 1400ccs and 1401 – 1600ccs with
weight limits as per 5.14 of these regulations.

Think you've got a fast car? Well come and show us! If it's got a roof
you can probably race it with the LMA Euro Saloon & Sports Car
Championship. We welcome most saloons, coupes and sports cars, the
criteria being they should have been sold in the European Union at some
time and there should be at least one road going example. This
definition includes vehicles from mainstream manufacturers worldwide and
also allows grey imports, personal imports, certain kit cars and most
low volume makes. For 2009 over twenty different marques of cars are
already registered including Alfa Romeo, Audi, BMW, Daihatsu, Fiat,
Ford, Harrier, Honda, Lancia, Lotus, Marcos, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan,
Noble, Peugeot, Porsche, Renault, Rover, Seat, Talbot, Tommy, Vauxhall
and Volkswagen.
North West Centre Sports / Saloon Championship
What have you got? A silhouette, hatchback, modified road car, Eurocar,
V6 & V8, TVR Tuscan challenge car, Caterham or Westfield, Clio one make,
saloon or sports car?
There must be a lot of good specials, modifieds and one make cars in
garages around the country which could still be competitive if they ran
in our championship and keep the spirit of creative engineering alive.
If you have one, contact us and talk about it; we do have a suitable
competitive class to run it in.
Previous winners (see photos) include Tony Sugden in his Skoda special
saloon, Ian Hall and Iain Gorrie in their Darrians. The smallest class
has produced champions with Richard Winter in his 1600 Banks Europa and
Chris Griffiths in his Mini engined Davrian. Rob Pritchard won in his
Caterham Vauxhall and Duncan Aukland won in his Rover 3500SE.
The championship is rarely decided before the last round so the level of
competition and excitement is high with the final meeting usually a
double header at Oulton Park.

The current trend of one-make championships prohibits many people from
racing cars of their choice at venues of their choice and can be
particularly boring for spectators.

‘Hatchbacks’, available for sale in the UK for at least three years
prior to the current season. Up to 1400cc multi-valve and up to 1600cc
two-valve-per-cylinder. New for 2008 is the 1600cc 16v Citroen C2 VTS.
There is a minimum weight including driver; the winning cars are
ballasted.
Toyo Tires Racing Saloons
With the simple aim of providing low cost, competitive club racing for
pre-1994 saloon cars the Toyo Tires Racing Saloons series is now in its
second season. With full grids, a friendly community of drivers and
close racing at some of the UK's best circuits, TTRS provides a great
experience for anybody considering UK circuit racing.
TTRS grids are always busy. With a high number of entrants and a simple
system of reserves, the series typically fills grids to capacity. Some
wizardry in backroom admin means that the club's committee rarely turns
drivers away. At some recent events the club has arranged extra races at
short notice to accommodate more drivers.
Race fees are very competitive. A double header (20 min qually and 2 X
20 minute races) is currently £200. The club believes in keeping fees
low. Its efficient structure and volunteer committee members keep the
costs down.

Production S1 entry is a Renault Sport 197 Clio Cup heavily modifed for
endurance racing. The motorsport Clio shares the same shell as the road
version of the 197 cup, but that's about where the similarities end. BPM
designed and developed a number of upgrades to turn this ex Clio Cup
race car into a competitive endurance car with the emphasis on
reliability. After all to finish first, first you have to finish! This
approach is working extremely well in the 2008 season where BPM is
currently placed third in class. When our competitors have trouble the
Clio just keeps on putting consistent laps in!

Challenge the team decided to move forward and focused on the high
profile nature of the British Touring Car Championship support packages.

successfully ran cars in the 2007 Seat Supra Championship scoring a
number of race wins and podium positions.
For 2008 the team moves forward to the new Seat Leon

Daniels Motorsport Daniels Motorsport will be running a 4 car team in

Welcome to the Colin Blower Garages web site. The business was
established in 1973 with the specific aim of offering the motorist a
less expensive alternative to the main dealer for quality service to
your car. Our motorsports and competition department was set up at the
same time as our garage 31 years ago and has a hugely successful
background, in that time we have won over 200 races and 9 championships.

TVR Challenge
The Challenge is divided into three main classes:
Class A – includes anything above 350 Bhp.
Class B - caters for any car with a maximum engine output of 350 Bhp.
Class C - for modified 4 or 6 cylinder engines but excludes Turbo or
Supercharger. Only the standard Rover V8 engine is eligible.
There is also an Invitation Class that caters for any make of sports car
as long as it complies with the MSA regulations for the original
championship it was built to race in.
Dunlop Tyres are the sponsors and provide the rubber. Drivers have the
choice of competing on slicks, road or track tyres.
The Dunlop TVR Challenge offers drivers the opportunity to compete in a
series where the emphasis is on having fun and there is a great
camaraderie amongst the drivers & mechanics.
