in 1964 ABP Motorsport have always been at the forefront of performance
tuning the latest high performance cars. We have competed over the years
in both Rallying & Circuit Racing with cars as legendary as the Mk1
Escort RS1600, Lotus Sunbeam, 205 GTi, BMW 3 series and currently the
Honda Integra Type 'R' now producing an amazing 250BHP @ 9,000 rpm.
During this time we have won various class and outright National
Championships in both rallying & saloon car racing. We have also
developed tuning packages for various road cars including the 205GTi,
XR3i, Renault 5 GT Turbo, AX GT, Subaru Impreza, Citroen Saxo VTR/VTS,

Our early association with Honda
started in 1988 with the Honda CRX "one make" championship. In 1990 we
were the first team in Europe to race the Honda Civic EF9 "Vtec" model,
winning 21 races and the Group N championship for two years in
succession.
In 1992 we ran a two car team in the Group N category using the Civic EG6 model. Our success was recognised by Honda UK in 1993 when we collaborated with them to run a Works Team of 6 Group N Honda Civics.

By 2004 King had outgrown their facility in the rolling hills of
Sullivan, WI and made a move to the Metro-Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The
new facility offered much more usable space, a comfortable showroom for
walk-in customers, machine shop, engine building clean-room, and more
warehouse space. The concept of the new facility was to create a
“destination” for customers and enthusiasts. A destination for them to
physically experience the professionalism and quality that King
Motorsports and Mugen products have come to represent.
Currently King Motorsports is working on several K-Series related
projects. They include an all motor K24 powered Honda Element, a 2005
RSX-S that will compete in the “RSX Challenge”, and they plan continued
development of the Mugen TSX Project car that was featured at the
Detroit Auto Show and will be featured in Car & Driver and Sport Compact
Car.

Located in
Toronto, Ultimate Racing began in 1991 as a performance shop catering to
imports and sport compacts. It’s owner Johnson Lii, has been the sole
owner since its conception. When he started years ago, the Canadian
import/sport compact market was in its infancy. If you were tinkering
with imports during this time in Toronto, you would have known, or at
least heard of Johnson’s work at Ultimate.
Johnson had already gained credibility on the streets for building his
customers some very fast cars. He began to notice an influx of customers
and decided to elevate his technical prowess and reputation by building
an import drag car. In 1997, he created Canada’s first and only
naturally aspirated import drag car that ran a 12.9@109 mph,
subsequently becoming the fastest all-motor import in Canada at the
time.
In the 2000 East Coast Battle of the Imports Ultimate Racing introduced
its all-new naturally aspirated Honda CRX . The new racecar ran a
blistering 11.2 seconds @123 mph. It was the Ultimate team's first
American debut and we became the fastest true unibody all-motor import
on the North American East Coast. Not only were we the fastest all-motor
import in Canada, but we subsequently became the third fastest naturally
aspirated import in the world at the time!
