All A'PEXi camshafts are precision engineered on
CAD systems delivering unparalleled performance. All cams are designed
for competition high horsepower output. Few companies possess the
technology to develop high quality cams. The GT camshafts have been
primarily developed for optimal matching with our AX turbo series or
comparable sized turbo. The VMAX SPL series are an aggressive camshaft
lineup made for the RB26DETT Skyline GTR engine. These camshafts have
already proven themselves on our 8 second 1100HP V-MAX test car.

HKS high performance camshafts are CAD designed to optimize torque and
horsepower over the widest possible power band. Each camshaft
application is offered in multiple profiles, each with their own lift &
duration characteristics to suit various levels of tuning.

The cam profile which influences the performance of a
camshaft is the most important element in a camshaft design. At JUN, the
software only for cam profile designs is used, and the automatic design
by the computer is performed.
Put simply we are manufacturers of all types camshafts, specialising in
motorsport, short production runs, pre production prototypes and one
off’s, however our in house manufacturing expertise extends to valve
retainers, adjustable cam pulley’s, valve guides, chain gears, poly-v
belt pulley’s, cam followers and shims.

Skunk2 Racing camshaft profiles are designed using the latest
computerized valvetrain and modeling techniques to maximize horsepower
and torque. Our camshafts are designed utilizing years of racing
experience. These camshaft blanks are cast from the same foundries used
by auto manufacturers such as Toyota, Nissan, Honda, and Mitsubishi, and
utilize the latest in Japanese chill-casting technology.
When opening intake valve, high acceleration G※1
is required for camshaft to send as much as mixture to the cylinder in
shortest time. On the other hand, when it closing valve, valve seat and
valve spring will be damaged if acceleration G is too high. Asymmetrical
profile must be given to the camshaftﾕs intake and exhaust valve to fill
the two contrary demands; secure wide duration and high lift but prevent
valve system from shock and damage, at one time.
