Bahrain
Welcome to the world's premier motorsport facility - the most modern,
user-friendly and exciting venue in the high-speed, high-tech,
high-adrenaline industry on the planet.
When the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain underwrote the development
of the Bahrain International Circuit, it foresaw the facility as a
catalyst for the future growth of the economy and the foundation for a
string of innovative investments. The cost of building a facility that
has set new standards in motorsport amounted to approx 150 million US$ /
56.2 million Bahraini Dinars, but the return on that investment has been
many-fold to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the wider Middle East.
Malaysia
f Australia was a nightmare for Ferrari, Malaysia was a dream. Kimi
Raikkonen toyed initially with polesitting team mate Felipe Massa, took
the lead after their first pit stops, and sauntered into the distance to
a victory that puts him back into contention for a second world title.
Massa blotted his copybook by spinning out of an easy second place on
the 31st lap, leaving Robert Kubica to take an excellent runner-up
result for BMW Sauber. In the closing laps, though 22 seconds adrift,
the Pole set a similar pace to Raikkonen.
Australia
Each year a minor miracle takes place in Melbourne. It’s the
transformation of a leafy, inner suburban open space into an
international gathering-point for some of the biggest movers and shakers
in world sport.
For the FORMULA 1™ ING Australian Grand Prix a
small army of construction workers, organisers, officials and volunteers
will once again change Albert Park into a global shop-window for the
finest in Australian major events.
A few miles of commuter roads suddenly become a
5.3-kilometre challenge to the greatest drivers in the world.
It’s a world-beating facility that attracts
hundreds of thousands of people, from dedicated F1 aficionados to
die-hard celebrity-watchers.

patriarchal Nürburg there would one day lay
the queen of all racetracks that would
attract suitors from all the lands. With new
ideas and its expansion as a recreational
and business destination, even in future,
Nürburgring will be running at full speed.

Britain
The Royal Automobile Club was interested in Silverstone as a
potential site and approached the Air Ministry in 1948 and a
lease was arranged. At this time the centre of Silverstone
Circuit was a farm producing cereal crops and also a piggery
so the RAC employed farmer James Wilson Brown to create the
first Grand Prix circuit at the site and gave him just two
months to build it.
Canada
At the end of 1977, with continued criticism of the track at Mosport,
alternate venues for the Grand Prix du Canada were proposed. The
National Exhibition site in Toronto, or the Maisonneuve neighbourhood of
Montreal with a run through Olympic Stadium were two possibilities. But
Montreal’s Mayor Jean Drapeau suggested the one spot that captured
people's fancy: a massive park built atop an island in the middle of the
Saint Lawrence River, which had previously welcomed 50 million visitors
as the host of Expo '67, the World’s Fair. It had also been the site for
Olympic rowing events in the summer of 1976.

Since the inaugural race in 1911, the Indianapolis 500 has
become steeped in rich tradition, one of the most alluring
aspects of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”
Here is the history of some of the most
popular and enduring traditions of the “500,” written by
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Historian Donald Davidson:
500 Festival Parade
The 500 Festival Parade took place for the
first time in 1957. It, and several other related activities,
largely came about following a series of newspaper editorials by
local columnists over a two- or three-year period, who had
witnessed the several-day celebration in advance of the Kentucky
Derby.

Hungary
The general admission area surrounds the biggest part of the circuit.
Since the sourrounding of the circuit is very hilly, there's a good view
at some spots of the general admission area, mostly however you can see
a shorter part of the circuit than from the grandstands. There are no
giant TVs in the general admission area.

Japan - Suzuka
In June 2006, Suzuka Circuitland Co., Ltd., and Twin Ring Motegi Co.,
Ltd., merged and made a new start as Mobilityland Corporation, uniting
the two enterprises of Suzuka Circuit, which has contributed to the
spread of motorsports in Japan, and Twin Ring Motegi, which introduced
to Japan the new mobility of American motorsports. By concentrating the
power and know-how these two companies have accumulated, we hope to be a
business providing joy, fun and excitement to the community through an
ever richer mobility culture.
Japan - Fuji
Fuji International Speedway was established exactly 4 decades ago.
It has very beautiful landscape of the majestic Mt. Fuji on a fine day.
The course length is 4,563meters.
Let us start to introduce the race track from the
main straight. The main straight length is 1,475m and it is the
longest one out of the Grand Prix circuit.
Difference of the highest speed at the main straight depends on how to
accelerate from the Panasonic Corner. Also, to overtake using slipstream
is to offer exciting scene during the race.
Brazil
In the first twenty years of the World Championship Brazil had shown
very little interest in motor sport. All that changed in the early 1970s
when Emerson Fittipaldi exploded on the international scene. His success
led to the inauguration of the Brazilian Grand Prix and the venue chosen
was Sao Paolo - Emerson's home town.
The Interlagos circuit had been built in 1940 and consisted of a
sweeping outer section with a tight infield - an unusual concept in its
day.
At just shy of five miles in length the circuit was also one of the
longest tracks on the calendar. Located just a few miles from downtown
Sao Paulo attendances have usually been enormous especially in the boom
years of Brazilian racing.
The fact that the track was built within a natural amphitheatre has
resulted in spectators being offered an excellent view of more than half
of the circuit, regardless of where they sit.
Interlagos in one of the toughest tracks on the current round of Formula
circuits and having been built on basically unstable ground the surface
is full of lumps and bumps. Unusually the circuit runs anti-clockwise
and is at high-altitude, so races are particularly hard on the drivers.
The ever-present heat and humidity of Brazil also add to the driver's
discomfort
