Avon Racing Tyres                          Avon Road Tyres
Avon are a major tyre manufacturer in Motorsport, the Avon Racing Tyre link points to their range of road legal racing tyres. This contains details on their full range of road legal tyre which are suitable for track days, information includes the compatible wheel width for each tire, the diameter of the tyre, tyre pressures and so on. The ZZR and CR500 look like the best choice for ultimate grip in the wet. Cross Ply tyres are also available in the motorsport range.

The Avon Ultra High Performance Road Tire range includes the ZV3 and ZZ3. Clicking on the text brings up the tyre specs which includes tyre pressures, compatible rims sizes and so on. All Avon tyres will be available for your local tyre supplier/tyre dealer.


Bridgestone/Firestone Road Tyres             
A tyre manufacturer in Formula 1 (F1) their Potenza range of tires are a well respected high performance road tyre in particular the RE050. We couldn't find any track day tyres/motorsport tyres on the website.

Butser Rubber Ltd Hampshire, UK

Butser Rubber specialises in custom-made rubber mouldings and high quality components and IS an IS0900 12000 certified company. Currently supplying demanding markets including F1, motors port, maritime, aerospace, medical and defence, it is always looking to expand into new areas. Butser Rubber manufactures products from one-off prototypes to volume production. Development and technical consultancy is available, together with assistance in design. Its range includes rubber to metal bondings, gaskets, extrusion and mouldings.

Continental Tyres
They tyre manufacturer sponsoring the FIFA 2006 World Cup in Germany. No track day tyres that we could find but the ContiSportContact2 gets good reviews in many car magazines.

Goodyear Tyres
The most successful tire manufacturer in Formula 1 history. This link is to the European site. The Goodyear Eagle F1 range of the tyres and a safe choice for high performance driving. No track day tyres/motorsport tyres are listed, although Goodyear do make them. Goodyear tyres are available at all major tyre dealers and tyre suppliers.

Grip Tyre Softener,  Northants. UK
Grip Tyre Softener is a unique tyre treatment which penetrates the surface and softens the rubber. It is effective on all kinds of performance tyres, wet or dry. The results on treated tyres are dramatic. Not only are new tyres made softer and stickier but previously discarded tyres are given a new lease of life.

Kumho Tyres Europe                     Kumho Tyres USA
Not a giant tyre manufacturer like some of the other companies here but well known nevertheless. Kumho has a big involvement in motorsport. The site is easy to navigate and contain motorsport tires as well road tyres, although it is not stated if the motorsport tires are road legal. The USA Kumho site is more useful, the spec sheets for the tires are comprehensive and informative contains info such as tyre diameter compatible wheel sizes, pressures, tyre weight as well as competitors compatible tyres.

Matador Tyres
Sponsors of the radical championship and is involved in the British Rally Championship. Site has basic tire sizes.

Michelin Performance Road Tyres                   Michelin Motorsport Tyres
One of the performance tyre manufacturers involved in Formula 1 (F1). The motorsport tyre link points to their motorsport range of tires which are NOT homologated for road use. However the table does provide useful information stating the tire widths that will fit a wheel of a certain width. A nice touch if your looking to maximise the grip of your car without buying a new set of wheels. Motorsport site also features road legal race tyres. The High Performance range of Michelin tires, the Michelin Pilot series (Pilot Exalto and Pilot Sport) are well respected high performance road tires.

Pirelli
Possible the most famous performance tyre manufacturer in the world with the most famous slogan "power is nothing without control". Their performance tyres are regularly referred to by EVO Magazine as some of the best performance tires you can buy, with the Pirelli P Zero Corsa and P Zero Nero being the target of most of their praises. Pirelli don't offer a road legal track day cut slick but the P Zero Corsa is a track day biased tyre. Pirelli tyres can be bought from Tire Dealers and Tire Suppliers throughout the UK as well as in their newly opened chain of Pirelli Performance Centres.

Toyo
Major tyre manufacturer Toyo are in a big name in the modified car market in Britain. Their ProxesT1-s and T1-R are bordering on the default choice when fitting large after market alloy wheels. For out and out performance in the dry their R888 is rapidly gaining in popularity and if your willing to sacrifice wet weather handling this could be the tyre for you. However this tyre provides marginal grip in the wet as it is designed mainly for circuit use. With BMW M3 CSL running on similarly comprised tyre for the road, this type of rubber is becoming looked upon as acceptable for road use. Toyo have tyre dealers and tyre suppliers throughout the UK.

Uniroyal Tyres
Uniroyal are now under the ownership of Continental.

Vredestein Tyres
Nice looking site but limited information in tyres sizes. no track day tyres or motorsport tyres listed.

A World renowned tyre manufacturer of high performance rubber. Strategic partnership with TSW Wheels helps both parties immensely. Massive range of high performance tires. highlight include the Yokohama Advan range which includes the A048 (Road Legal),  A032R (Road Legal),  AVS Neova (Road Legal),  A539 and Parada Spec2. The Global site contains much more information than the UK site such as tire sizes! The global site is quite large with a lot of flash but its worth the wait. Contains all tyre sizes for each tyre model and the PDF Spec Sheets that go with each tyre give all the technical information you could want. Top Site.
